Author: Charles Hartwell

After tonight, the Cleveland Cavaliers will force a game 6 where they will have the opportunity to provide the NBA fans a full length series. Kevin Love has returned from an injury that forced to miss game 4, and Draymond Green, the heart and soul of Golden State was absent for this game due to a one game suspension for name calling toward LeBron James. Although Golden State led the game for a majority of the 1st quarter, Cleveland eventually broke away and made a b-line toward their victory, ending in a score of 112 to 97.

Kyrie Irving put up 41 points against Golden State tonight, being his third consecutive game in which he has scored more than 31 points. LeBron James matched Kyrie’s score tonight with 41 points, 16 rebounds, and 7 assists. Both players have become rather familiar with double-doubles within the series. With the help of Klay Thompson’s 37, and Steph Curry’s 25, the Warriors were still unable to convert the victory which could have potentially ended the series, winning them the championship.

Game 6 will take place on Thursday at Quicken Loans Arena in Cleveland Ohio, giving the home team a better chance at evening up the record which is now 2-3 in the favor of Golden State.
