Tom Seaver, the 12-time All-star Dies at 75. This is a huge loss for not just baseball, but also for the entire sports community. The hall of the Fame & a three-time Young Award winner, the American professional baseball pitcher died on Monday, August 31, 2020.

Seaver’s wife Nancy Seaver & daughters Sarah and Anne said a statement, "We are heartbroken to share that our beloved husband and father have passed away. We send our love out to his fans, as we mourn his loss with you." Seaver died of the complication created due to Covid-19 & Lewy body dementia.

The American professional baseball pitcher has played as many as 20 seasons of Major Baseball League. Through his career from 1967 to 1986, Seaver had played for Boston Red Sox, the New York Mets, Chicago White Sox, and Cincinnati Reds. And, in the New York Mets victory of 1996 World Series of Seaver played a key role.

Seaver had played for the New York Mets for a longer time span. In 1967, Seaver won the NL’s Rookie of the Year Award. Throughout his career, Tom has carried up the responsibility pretty responsibly.

Former Mets pitcher Dwight Gooden took to his Twitter handle to pay tribute to Seaver, he wrote, "On behalf of Major League Baseball, I extend my condolences to Tom's family, his admirers throughout our game, Mets fans, and many people he touched. Everyone knows he was a great pitcher. But he was an even greater person. RIP to my friend Tom!" Fred Wilpon, Mets owners called Seaver the greatest Mets of all times. And, any accolades, awards, rewards, all-Star appearances & World Series championship — Seaver was a man who valued his family, his people more than anything. Tom will always be remembered for the kind of passion he had for his job & his family. He will be remembered for the stupendous legacy, he is leaving behind.
