Mo'ne Davis Asks University to Give Baseball Player a Second Chance

Mo'ne Davis is a great talent in the world of sports. The baseball pitcher made a big statement during the Little League World Series this past summer and became a national sensation. Now we know she has more than just a good arm.

A baseball player from Bloomsburg University took to Twitter to say some awful things about Mo'ne. Joey Casselberry tweeted, "Disney is making a movie about Mo'ne Davis? WHAT A JOKE. That s*** got rocked by Nevada." His school responded by booting him from the team for violating the athletic department's social media policy and potentially the university's code of conduct.

13-yearold Mo'ne has taken the high road and asked the university, via email, to reinstate Casselberry. Mo'ne said in a statment, "I know right now he's really hurt ... everyone deserves a second chance."

Casselberry has apologized for the Tweet.

But university officials are standing firm. The praised her maturity and respect her opinion but will not reinstate Casselberry at this time.
