5 NBA Players with the Highest Salaries

Author: Sonali

In the end, sports is their profession, and they want to laugh all the way to the bank. Without putting hard work at the backburner, players do what they can to rake in. Of course, being the MVP or making an All-NBA team is a lifetime achievement for players, but money does matter — it’s cut and dry. However, every NBA is cleaning up but a few are taking home more bucks than the others. We have created a list of the players who are getting the highest salaries. Let’s find out whom this brat packs. Let’s get started:

  1. Ben Simmons.

Simmons — not a great shooter, but an elite passer who is loaded with the power to defend all the five positions, and that makes him in this list, probably. Maybe he is not good when it comes to shooting threes, but this man has the passing skills of an All-Star point guard. Even if he does not ever acquire that much-needed shooting skills, he is always going to get that name in the list of the best players in the league. And, of course, that makes him bring home the bacon. And, it is his skills that led him to sign a $170 million extension for the next five-year. He is undoubtedly one of the richest players in the National Basketball Association.

  1. Blake Griffin.

Blake Austin Griffin, the American professional basketball player who plays for the Detroit Pistons is another in the list of NBA players who take home the highest salaries. He was also named as the Consensus National Player of the Year as a sophomore after playing college basketball for the Oklahoma Sooners. He deserves to be where he is! Griffin signed a BIG contract of $171 million with L.A. He was traded to Detroit from the Clippers. The first full season that he played with Detroit went really well and his average came out to be 24.5 points per game. This season he got some injury because of which, he could play only 18 games, but he still is left with a couple of years on this deal.

  1. Klay Thompson.

Who does not know Klay Alexander Thompson? The American professional basketball player who plays for NBA’s the Golden State Warriors. Thompson is known for being one of the most magical shooters throughout the history of the National Basketball League. He is considered the most perfect foil to Steph Curry with his defensive skills, and the crazy things which he had done. In a quarter, playing a game, he scored 37 points. Who won’t like him to take this stalwart onboard — last summer, he went on to sign a five-year contract worth $180 million.

  1. Gordon Hayward.

Gordon Hayward, the American professional basketball player who plays for NBA’s Boston Celtics signed a $128 million contract. In the 2010 NBA draft, the Utah Jazz picked him as the ninth overall pick after he played two seasons of college basketball for Butler University. But, after signing the$128 million contracts, both the team and his own career didn’t happen as was planned. While playing his first game with the Celtics he suffered a knee injury after which things have never been the same again. His skills have been popping here and there since he suffered this injury.

  1. Khris Middleton.

With a five-year, $178 million deal, the American professional basketball player for the NBA, Khris Middleton is the Highest paid player. He plays for the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association. He got his coaching from John Pearson while attending Porter-Gaud School. Though he has the highest-paid player for the Bucks, Giannis Sina Ougko Antetokounmpo is on his rookie deal. This should not create a doubt that Middleton is not worth all this money — nobody can chop logic on this deal. Middleton turned into one of the best players even when he was a second-round pick.
