Till now, the team has won one NCAA Championship, two National Invitation Tournaments, and three ACC Tournament Titles.

  • He became the first true freshman to start a season opener at UVA after Taylor Barnette, Justin Anderson and Mike Tobey at Green Mason.

  • After a scoring career-high 19 points in the game against Arizona State, his name was given to the Air Force Reserve All-Tournament Team.

  • Casey has scored 9 points against NC state and 10 points against the Navy.

  • Had played season-high 28 minutes against Vermont.

His High School:

Casey’s rank was 56 last year when he entered his freshman season in the Cavaliers. This led to higher expectations among the Virginia fans.  Those big minutes of Morsell are still counted as the thrust in the backcourt which leads to losing the game of Kyle Guy and Tu Jerome. Still, the condition turned out to be a mixed bag situation where all the scores of the team didn’t lead to a much expected good result.

According to the ESPN ratings, they stated Casey does not have a prototype size for an ideal athlete guard. Yet, he’s a tough player who can easily score well. On defense, he’s extremely tough and committed, which makes it hard for the opponent to score.

Apart from all that, yet Morsell's freshman year was a mixed bag compared to the pre-season expectations. But, was successful enough to set a pretty high floor for his potential. Virginia fans know that this young newcomer is going to defend the floor superbly. It’s a matter of time his skills and potential would soon start to show up.
