The San Antonio Spurs are on the verge of something big and their win over the Oklahoma City Thunder last night proved it.
The Spurs took a 2-0 series lead with the 120-111 victory in San Antonio last night and earned their 20th straight victory. The Spurs were led by Tony Parker who had 34 points and Manu Ginobili added 20 off of the bench.
For the Thunder, Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and James Harden combined for 88 of their 111 total points, but got little production elsewhere. Derek Fisher had 10 points off of the bench, but the rest of the starters combined for 13 points total.
The series now goes to Oklahoma City where the Thunder hope to regroup and knock the Spurs off of their current win streak.
The big differential came in the field goal percentage as the Thunder shot 42% from the field and the Spurs took advantage, hitting 55.1% of their shots.
Other basketball news: In the Eastern Conference, the Miami Heat currently hold a 1-0 series lead over the Boston Celtics with game two starting at 8:30 EST tonight. Miami will look to go up 2-0 at home.
