Despite facing an 18-point deficit at one point in game six of the Western Conference Finals, the Oklahoma City Thunder rallied to defeat the San Antonio Spurs for their fourth straight win and will advance to the NBA Finals.
The Thunder were down by 15 points at the end of the first half, but came back behind Kevin Durant’s 34 point, 14 rebound performance to win 107 - 99. The series between the top two teams in the West ends in six games.
Tony Parker scored 29 points for the Spurs while Tim Duncan added 25 points and Stephen Jackson came off of the bench to add another 23. It wasn’t enough to match the Thunder, however, and the difference came in the role players.
The Thunder will now move on to the Finals where they will face the winner of the Eastern Conference Finals series that has the Boston Celtics up 3 - 2 on the Miami Heat.
Game six of the Celtics vs. Heat series is tonight in Boston and starts at 8:30 PM Eastern Standard Time.
