Staring at a 22-43 record, the Los Angeles Lakers are in an unfamiliar position. The Lakers have been missing Kobe Bryant and Steve Nash for much of the season and are set to have just four players under contract next season. This is not something they are used to and now the star shooting guard Bryant and Lakers' legend Magic Johnson are urging the team to make changes. Both feel that the leadership from the brass has some question marks associated with them and getting to the root of the problem is crucial for the Lakers. What this could mean is a change at the head coaching position with Mike D'Antoni possibly making his exit after the season is over, especially with Phil Jackson back in the NBA in his capacity with the New York Knicks. With the 2013-14 season essentially behind the Lakers -- they're tied for last place in the Western Conference -- the future has potential to be turned around quickly. The Lakers are looking at their highest draft pick in recent history, a good amount of cap space to spend on free agents, the return of Bryant and a chance to bring back the Zen Master to the sidelines. The question is: will the Lakers pass up on the chance to bring Jackson back again?
