Warriors Advance To NBA Finals

For the third time in a row, the Golden State Warriors have fought their way to become the Western Conference Champions. They will be taking on the Lebron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals, which is the same team that they beat during the NBA Finals last year.

In a “win or go home” game against the Oklahoma City Thunder, the Warriors were not discouraged by being down in the first half. Steph Curry, Klay Thompson, and even big man Dreymond Green created opportunities that allowed themselves to drain enough three point shots in order to even up the score, and eventually surpass the Thunder, despite the efforts of Westbrook and Durant.

The first team to ever win 73 games in a single season was in a three to one deficit, on the brink of elimination against Oklahoma City, however the Warriors refused to fold under the severe pressure. The unforgiving defense and oppressive dynamism that was put forth by Golden State paid off, and eventually resulted in a victory of eight points.

Fans of basketball can certainly look forward to a point guard match-up between two of the greatest to play the position today, Steph Curry and Kyrie Irving, in the Golden State vs. Cleveland NBA Finals.
