USA Cycling Madison Track National Championships - What To Expect

Author: Megha Agarwal on Nov 11,2021

USA Cycling Madison Track National Championships is an annual tournament that is organized by USA Cycling. This championship covers various track racing disciplines for different groups based on age and gender.

After a 45-year hiatus, the USA Cycling Madison Track National Championships are back at the Lexus Velodrome in Detroit. This year, it will be the first time since 1978 that Detroit will be hosting the cycle race. Until 2025, the Lexus Velodrome will be hosting this outstanding event honoring over 20 National Champions in Elite, Junior, Women's, and Men's competitions. The championship will run from November 12 to 14 at the Lexus Velodrome at 601 Mack Ave. at I-75. This year’s event will mark the beginning of a new era in the USA’s track cycling. It will be a significant motivation for riders to dedicate time and attention to donning the nation's colors in such a historical event.

This cycling tournament will call top racers from across the United States and let them battle against each other on the one-of-a-kind cycling track. The authorities have decided to pair racers with different age groups to make the competition more fun and unique.

While making the announcement, Tara McCarthy, Director of National Events for USA Cycling, said, “Bringing a national championship to a new venue is something USA Cycling strives to do. It allows for the sharing of values and growth of the local cycling community. Detroit is a city with a strong cycling history, and we’re excited to welcome riders from all over the country to the Lexus Velodrome community.”
