Author: Priyanka Saxena on Jun 11,2020

A good player can win any match, but when you have a breakout player he can play a vital part in winning any championship. Importance of Chevan Cordeiro who is a breakout QB player is more for Hawaii this season. Watching him play is going to be very exciting.

In the past, we have witnessed players like Joe Burrow and Justin, who fields completely outplayed the opponent and helped their team to win the championship. Joe and Justin both were breakout players for LSU and Ohio respectively. The same goes for Chevan who is equally talented and can bring a great impact to his side.

Football really is a very difficult game to predict. We cannot tell who can turn out as a breakout player. But when it comes to Chevan Cordeiro we can surely say he can deliver in crucial moments. He can be part of various plans which Hawaii will use in this season.

If we look at Hawaii they haven't won 10 games since 2010 but last year was different they managed to win 10 matches and lost only 5. They impressed everyone against BYU where they displayed great performance and won the match by a 38-34 score.

What will be Hawaii's plan for Chevan Cordeiro this season?

The head coach is one who has the responsibility of making a plan and Hawaii purchased Todd Graham who was head coach of Arizona State for almost a couple of years. Hawaii did well under their previous coach Nick Rolovich who is now replaced and will be the new head coach of Washington state.

The journey of Hawaii is full of falls and raises till now. From being 8-6 in the season of 2018 to 10-5 previous season. Arizona did pretty well under Graham and was 46-32. Now Graham has to do well with Hawaii to repeat such a performance.

Graham and Kinne are very excited to find winning ways and combinations for Hawaii. They went after QB Tulsa and focused on offensive players. Hawaii has a decent average rate of almost 34 points which they score per game. However, they also gave away 31 points and therefore have their rank in the 90s.

Graham and Kinne will definitely come up with their strategies, and tactics. Chevan will have a crucial role to play for shaping this season for Hawaii. Offensive coordinates have to be improved and Hawaii needs to do well this season. We can just wait and watch what will be the plan of Graham and Kinne, also how well Chevan can execute their plan.

Can Chevan Cordeiro be the X factor that Hawaii is looking forward to?

Chevan is a player to watch out for, and he can surely be the best QB for Hawaii. Mountain West so far didn't have any QB who can come up with an impact, Chevan needs to utilize this opportunity and come out as a star this season.

The important thing to note is whether Chevan can fit in the shoes of Cole. Cole had a very impressive record and Chevan was a backup player for Cole McDonald. Cole almost completed 100 games and did really well for the past couple of years. Now the time has changed and Cole can be replaced by Cordeiro in this season.

Chevan Cordeiro has remarkable abilities, but he faces difficulty in the offense; his average also falls down to 58 which is quite low. He should look to improve as every other player does. Under the guidance of Kimme and Graham, he has done tremendous work and has tackled bad situations.

Hawaii will be dependent on Cordeiro for sure, he can be Hawaii's standout player. He is playing with good fitness and Hawaii would love to utilize his talent and win as much as matches they can. In recent times Chevan has done really well in the second half and won many nail-biting matches. He is a very aggressive player and in the second half, he just gets better.

He caught the eyes of everyone against Rebels where he replaced Vole McDonald in the second half (around 12 minutes before the match ended) and in no time he got a grip and coordinated with JoJo Ward for a 64-yard touchdown pass.

Final Words!

We all are very excited to watch Chevan Cordeiro perform well for Hawaii under the guidance of brilliant coaches like Graham and Kinne. Hopefully, they can bring the best performance out of Chevan and make them win this year's championship.
