Can Michigan Beat Ohio In Week 13?

Author: Mansi

If Michigan were to beat Ohio, this could turn out to be a tragedy to Ohio given the success they have seen in the NCAA season this year. A canceled match against Illinois is already a chink in the armor for Ohio’s playoff dreams. Michigan has hit the rock bottom of the season with their playoff’s chances as good as over. Now it is only time they have to revive a saving face in their last match. Though Michigan looks totally out of sorts to pull a thriller in their last game, they have given a thread of hope when they surprisingly beat Rutgers.

Ever since they won their week 1 one-off with Minnesota, they have looked out of sorts almost crashing in every game. They have had 14 touchdowns and 286 yards altogether proving the weakness all over. Cade McNamara showed signs of good offense here and there, while others tumbled down to almost reaching a heavy low. Given the odds, they may be a null possibility for Michigan to ride over a victory against Ohio, but we have held our judgments as Michigan did show signs of improvements against Rutgers. That one could be a fluke, but the 48-42 margin seems to be a little promising.

Analyzing the game between Michigan and Rutgers, C, McNamara did show his brilliance with 27 catches. Milton’s glimpses of a good show were welcoming for the team. Their defense was better in shades with Hawkins’s 7 tackles. However, on the whole, they were able to bring Rutmegers down the hill by their compelling offense strokes. But still, the defense was not up to the mark. They have lost 38 points in the last 3 games, their improvement on the same looks at best shady.

On the other hand, their outing against Penn State weakened all possibilities of Michigan going for a playoff. They down-played so much to Penn State to victory. McNamara’s 12 catches and his offense tactics were not enough to pull through against a weaker opponent like Penn State. They looked outcast and their forms declined to a major low, with completely devastating performances.

Ohio Buckeyes:

They are slated to be the best team standing firmly in a 4-0 margin. With three matches getting canceled, their goal of reaching play-offs seems dim. Anyway, they have to be prepared for the worst, with most of Bukeyes’s players have been affected by Covid-19. In this case, their only match where they could probably settle their playoffs position is with Michigan which will be an easier choice. Analyzing their game, they seem to have a slithering offense with all possible support from the defense. If not for the schedule cancellations, they should have had a good stand with 7-0. Now, there are other teams like Colorado, and Wisconsin is in the slot to pick up the playoffs, they have a dire need to win all the matches steering to the comfortable place. However, losing to Michigan will keep them in the bad shape, ruining their stature that they have maintained to date.

Analyzing their game, they had a close match victory with Indianapolis, securing the hopes of playoffs. Players who seem to be promising enough to have a golden touch would be J.Fields whose 18 catches for 300 yards had a good turning value. The rushing yards from Teague were promising, with 26 carriers of 169 yards. Their defense which is usually the flip-side of the team also had some improvement with 7 tackles.

Most of the other games for Ohio have been weaker opponents. Rutgers and Penn State proved their power. Analyzing their game against Penn State, Field’s performance of 28 catches was huge for Penn State players to crossover. Teague’s 23 carriers also proved effective enough to crash the meager opponent. Defense with Hooker’s 7 tackles overtook the performance of Wade with 6 tackles.

If all goes according to the expectations, beating Michigan should be a cakewalk for Ohio, as they have been dominating every little aspect of the game. With Michigan looking out of sorts and also a team that will go through a dead battle, everything looks green and positive for Ohio.
