AC Milan v. Juventus

Milan won against Lazio with a score of 3-0 while playing away from home, but Milan matching up to Juventus is a different ball game. Milan has improved its gameplay with every match it plays, but their performance against Lazio can be chalked up to the two of Lazio’s strikers not playing the match. Immobile, who is the Serie A top scorer with half of Lazio’s goals scored by him, was suspended from the match. So was Felipe Caicedo, the second top scorer for Lazio.

Milan has managed to stay undefeated since the season resumed, but they are still in 7th place, despite increasing AS Roma’s trail behind them by 2 points. AC Milan will most definitely be playing for a top 6 finish, which will guarantee them a spot in the Europa League. But they are missing Samu Castillejo from their playing team, and Hakan Calhanoglu, who was their first scorer in the Lazio game, will also be sitting this game out due to an injury that he suffered during the Lazio game.

Juventus’ record will come as a surprise to no one. They massacred Torino at home with a score of 4-1. Both their top strikers, Ronaldo and Paulo Dybala, have been scoring in all their games, four games in a row. After Lazio’s defeat, there is a comfortable 7 point lead between Juventus and Lazio, and Inter is also trailing behind. With only 8 more rounds till this season ends, Juve has set itself up for the title yet again. Their match against Milan will be a quest to maintain this lead, and the odds are on them to win this game.

Ronaldo is trailing behind Immobile by only four goals to be the top scorer of Serie A, and he’s likely to try to make up the difference in this game. Juve’s title race seems fairly easy, and this match will be a stepping stone. Place your bet on Juventus winning with over 2.5 goals to Juve.

Verona v. Inter Milan

Inter Milan was beaten for the first time in four games when they lost to Bologna 2-1 at home. Their first-half gameplay looked promising, ending with 1-0 at halftime, but they missed their chance to push up their score to 2-0 as Lautaro Martinez missed his opportunity to score. They did play with one man extra in 20 minutes of the second half, but they just couldn’t score another goal. Despite this added advantage, they couldn’t stop Bologna. They had played their best for the most part of the match and were in good form, but it was just a stroke of misfortune when they couldn’t score the second goal.

Verona sits at the eighth place on the standings and Milan is at the 3rd spot, but Inter’s almost unblemished record in the past five games makes them the better pick. Despite their troubles against Bologna, it is fair to place the bets on Inter given their form.

Napoli v. Genoa

This is going to be a match worth watching, no matter which team you support or if you are a neutral fan. Both these teams will be going head-to-head, Napoli to fight for the top six spots for the Europa League entry. Genoa has its Serie A standing to play for, currently in the much lower part of the standings. Napoli has to watch its back and gather as many points as possible, as AC Milan has been pursuing them relentlessly for the sixth spot.

Napoli is lacking two of their best players Demme and Kalidou, but their stand-ins are as impressive and their presence isn’t going to be missed. Napoli’s form in 2020 has been very strong, with eight wins from their last 10 Serie A outings. While the season resumption had them come in with larger ambitions, they have been outpaced by Atalanta and Lazio. They still have it in them to pursue their Europa League goals.

AS Roma v. Parma

Roma isn’t chasing its dreams of the top four, but it still has the top six spots to fight for. Depending on how this week’s fixtures go, Roma could end up down in seventh place. But Parma as an opponent has come at a perfect time for Roma. Roma hasn’t had a good 2020 season, but Parma is still stuck in the middle of the table with no hope of getting out of there. Roma is the pick for this match.
