The BIG news about Messi’s Manchester Transfer.

Per the reports, Messi has shown keenness for his transfer to the team Manchester City, which is the top contender to place in the 33-year-old soccer star. Sources have also revealed that Manchester City’s proposal can include Messi spending a part of his tenure with the team in Major League Soccer. Apart from that, the City may offer the legendary star an opportunity to be the City Football Group’s ambassador, which owns NYCFC and various other clubs all over the globe.

If this deal goes as per the discussion between the two parties involved (Messi & the Manchester) the 33-year-old world champion would have the opportunity to take the team to a different level by winning the first-ever Champions League title Per the sources, Manchester head-coach had a recent telephonic conversation with Messi about this potential transfer, and about the upcoming projects (if this deal finally happens).

How Barça may come out with Messi’s Decision?

It is evident that Barça would not want Messi to leave and would try doing everything to convince him and get him back. The team may try to get back their most valuable player with different offers. They may offer him an opportunity to become an ambassador for the City Football Group and try to bring changes in the team around Messi.

It was a mere shock for the club to hear the news of Messi deciding to quit. Since the news came in, Manchester City has been the most favorite choice for Messi for a new start. There are certain things to look into before this move gets finalized. However, the potential transfer may land up in court if both the parties (Barcelona & Manchester) do not agree mutually.

Barça & Messi deal around Manchester Transfer.

There could be an agreement reached with Barcelona claiming to pay a certain amount of fee to the receiving team. They may claim this money to invest in rebuilding the team, Barça. The City has been after the move — since when Messi has taken the first step towards leaving the team, Barça. Manchester City is making sure that the agreement is reached without creating any breach to the UEFA's financial fair play rules.

As of now, the most important part of this deal is going to be whether Barça would let Messi go for free or if Manchester will have to negotiate with La Liga for a fee per contract, which talks about a €700 million release clause. Messi had a contract with Barça until 2021. Messi is hopeful about executing a clause that will allow him to leave the club for free. The clause was added in 2017 and defines that he could leave the club at the end of every season if he could inform about the same until June. And, Barça has been time and again claiming that the window has already expired and if Messi decides to leave the other party will have to pay a €700 million release amount.

However, the legal team of Messi has been putting forth an argument -- the time frame that allows Messi to leave the club for free is still valid because of the extension in the wake of coronavirus pandemic halt.
