Mourinho Unhappy With Coach As Manchester United Win

Manchester United played Zorya Luhansk on Thursday and won by a solitary goal thanks to Zlatan Ibrahimovic but a fuming Jose Mourinho and his exchange of words with coach Giovanni Cerra shows that tactics and communication might have gone wrong as per the team’s performance. This brings on board the importance of assistant coaches and their team’s performances.

Manchester United came out winners but many fans and pundits saw their performance as average considering the status of Zorya in European football and the depth of Manchester United.

After the game Jose Mourinho lashed out at his assistant coach for confusing most of his players because of a change in line-up and tactics by Zorya.

Was Mourinho Right to Blast His Assistant Coach at Manchester United

Mourinho said that he leaves his assistants to take care of all the details with regards to set pieces and the team’s organization and therefore if certain players are confused then it means that communication did not go down well with the players.

Many football fans are not happy with Mourinho blaming his assistant coach for the team’s poor showing. It seems United fans get excited one matchday and the team relapses on the other.

Other pundits such as former Manchester United player Owen Hargreaves has lauded Mourinho on BT SPORT by saying “That shows his attention to detail. He is a perfectionist.”

This win is a huge boost for Manchester United as the team has won two games in a row and lies third in Group A as the team trails Feyenoord by head to head and Fenerbahce by one point.

The assistant coaches at Manchester United should pay attention to detail in United’s game against Stoke City because this is a game Manchester United and Mourinho aims to win as it gives the team a chance to close the gap when first placed and second placed teams Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City lock horns at White Hart Lane.
