What's Exciting about NBA Season 2020?

Author: Mansi

Finally, the long wait for the players to return to the fields is over. We can again see our favorite players in action — that’s pretty good news for sports lovers. The league is going balls to the walls by creating social distancing rules for the practice facilities all over the country so that the NBA can return-to-play as planned at the end of July. This announcement has certainly brought about waves of merriment among the fans. There are certainly some amazing things to wait for in the NBA 2020 return-of-the-play season.

Let’s find out What’s Amazing about NBA Season 2020 to look forward to:

  1. James Harden will struggle or will be more focused

Either Harden is going to struggle through the playoffs or can look even more focused. This is going to make for an exciting part of the NBA return-to-play season 2020. It is only James Harden, who had his jersey retired at a strip club, unlike the other NBA players who love the nightlife. But, in his latest pictures, he looks way more skinny — maybe because he had no access to the champagne room or the strip club buffets. So, it would be really exciting to see, if these three months of lockdown has left Harden making way more focused & he can be seen delivering through all the seven games, or he will have to go for a 10-day quarantine out of the bubble environment.

  1. Giannis Antetokounmpo’s Second MVP.

In the last season, Giannis Antetokounmpo who was the most improved player became the most valuable player (MVP), that was a moment to watch for while he was playing for the most improved team. But, during the finals, he hit a Kawhi-sized roadblock. Starting with 10-1, the Bucks, in the playoffs, lost in the double-OT battle in Game 3 of the conference finals. After that, the win never came back. This season, we may expect him for a second MVP making a way for the title like Magic Johnson or Bill Russell, who has both endured a bad playoff loss before winning the title. That is going to be exciting to watch.

  1. Anthony Davis’s MVP-caliber.

While Davis’s caliber has been overshadowed by that of LeBron James in this season, he is one of the NBA players who have an MVP-caliber career. Anthony with an average 26.7 points & 9.4 rebounds and the amazing way with which he plays the defense deserves him a consideration. On the pick-and-roll with LeBron, Davis is a matchup nightmare.
