NBA Basketball Teams

The National Basketball Association formed its teams back in 1946. The association was created with just 11 teams during that time, but today it has 30 teams. Among those 30, 29 are from the United States, and one is from Canada.

Currently, the league structure has been divided into two conferences with three divisions each. Further, each division has five teams. This makes up the 30 teams in total. The NBA Basketball Team alignment that is being used today was introduced in 2004-05.
