Former NBA player and center Sean Rooks passed away on June 7, 2016 at the age of 46.
No information or details pertaining to the cause, place or time of Rook’s death have been made public.
The 6-foot and 10-inch-tall Rooks played professional basketball for 12 seasons in the NBA from 1992 to 2004.
He was a second round draft for the Dallas Mavericks in 1992. Rooks played for numerous NBA teams including the New Orleans Hornets, Orlando Magic, L.A. Lakers and the Minnesota Timberwolves to name a few.
Rooks had a career NBA playing average of 6.2 points and 3.8 rebounds a game.
Rooks also coached and coordinated player definitely for several teams, most significantly for the Philadelphia 76ers.
Rooks is survived by 2 children.
Rooks’ son Kameron plays college basketball for the California Golden Bears at the University of California.
