Sammy Vasquez To Fight Luis Collazo

Two of America’s greatest welterweight fighters of today will face off on the 16^th of July. Sammy Vasquez and Luis Collazo will meet up at Legacy Arena in Birmingham, Alabama for the biggest fight of Vasquez’s career.

“This is a great opportunity for me, and I’m looking forward to showcasing my talent and skills. Luis Collazo is one of the toughest guys I’ve fought so far, and he’s definitely going to test me. My job is to go in there, handle my business, and beat him worse than anyone else has. Vasquez has an undefeated record that includes 21 wins, 15 of which being by way of knockout. The former U.S. National Guard warrior won his last fight near the end of January with a knockout of Aron Martinez in the sixth round.

Luis Collazo has 36 wins and 7 losses, 19 of his wins being by way of knockout. The former welterweight world title holder has faced strong, big name opponents including Ricky Hatton, Shane Mosley, and Victor Ortiz. He is excited for his upcoming match with Vasquez.
