Since the coronavirus outbreak in March, sports had almost come to a halt in America and around the world. However, the National Football league 2020 was not much affected by the COVID-19 mayhem. But, a number of aspects of the NFL season got interrupted due to the ruckus. Minicamps, free agency visits, teams’ OTAs, and draft prospects’ pro days — did not happen.

Despite the rookies’ report dates being days away, a number of questions remain hanging around. The preseason is going to end somewhere around zero and two games. The pandemic had also affected the teams, and how they are expected to perform in the fields. Let’s look at the top three teams which are expected to be on top. Here we go:

  1. Kansas City Chiefs

Kansas City Chiefs, the American professional football team occupy the top spot for a variety of reasons. The Chiefs take part in the National Football League (NFL) as an American Football Conference (AFC) West division member. The team was founded in 1960 as the charter member of the American Football League (AFL). Moving to Kansas City, in 1963, the team took its new name. In 1970, with the merger, the team Chiefs joined the National Football League. The team, and it values more than $2 billion. In the years from 1962, 1966 & 1969, the Chiefs have won the three AFL championships.

The chiefs are on the top of this list because they are rich with Patrick Mahomes, who is the best player on the planet. Earlier, this month, Mahomes took away any kind of contractual uncertainty with his mega-extension. In addition, Kansas’s offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy and head coach Andy Reid is also one of the reasons for the team to be on the top. Kansas’s almost are returning 20 of 22 starters who were there in the last year’s Super Bowl champion. Even in challenging times like coronavirus, the team is getting even better and the team is not going to look any affected due to the pandemic.

  1. Baltimore Ravens.

The Baltimore Ravens have competed as a member of the American Football Conference (AFC) North division in the National Football League (NFL). Headquartered in the Owings Mills, the team plays the home games at M&T Bank Stadium. This NFL season, Ravens are poised to hit the ground with full force as in the past two seasons, the Ravens have gone through bitter playoff disappointment. It was in 1995 when the Cleveland Browns decided to relocate the franchise from Cleveland to Baltimore. Later in 1996, the Baltimore Ravens team was established.

Since they came into being, the Ravens have had the more successful franchises. Since 2000, they have qualified for the playoff 12 times for the NFL. Ravens have to name two Super Bowl championship titles, two AFC Championship titles, six AFC North division titles, four AFC Championship game appearances, and 15 playoff victories. Currently, Ravens are the only teams, which have made multiple records in the Super Bowl appearances. From 1996 to 2018, the Ravens organization was managed by Ozzie Newsome, the general manager.

The 10 of the 11 offensive starters return with one gone, Hall of Fame guard Marshal Yanda, which is a big loss for the team. Including the offensive coordinator Greg Roman, 18 of the total 22 starters return for the season along with the entire coaching staff. Quarterback Lamar Jackson is more confident about winning the Super Bowl than ever before. It won’t be wrong to keep Baltimore’s in the second spot given their overall commitment.

  1. New Orleans Saints.

The New Orleans Saints are the football team that is based in New Orleans. As a member of the league's National Football Conference (NFC) South division, the team competes from the NFL. Saints were founded in the year 1966 by the city of New Orleans, John W. Mecom, and David Dixon. In 1967, Saints began their play there until 1974, which is when they also moved to the new Louisiana Superdome.

The Saints have an interesting draft with first-rounder Cesar Ruiz, a center who is going to start right away. The capability with which Ruiz processes the mental side of the game and picks up blocking schemes quickly — is worth being praised. Selected in the third round of the draft, Adam Trautman and Linebacker Zack Baun are also going to be an important part of the game. Drew Brees and Sean Payton are entering their 15 years game together — and as long as Brees health supports he will support the Saints.
