There are yet another eight new coronavirus cases per an announcement by the National Football league & the Players’ Association. Among the other NFL personnel, there were 11 members who returned positive COVID-19 test results.

NFL Reserve/COVID-19 list new additions.

From the Atlanta Falcons to the Las Vegas Raiders, Carolina Panthers, Buffalo Bills, and Jacksonville Jaguars -- all have added players to the reserve/COVID-19 list through the last week. According to the updated COVID-19 health & safety protocols, all those players and the personnel who have come in close contact with the affected players & personnel must also be isolated even if they return negative results.

As the NFL entered in the middle of the season’s game, there were 19 new cases (eight players & 11 other personnel) of new COVID-19 positive results coming to light. The Las Vegas Raiders are already being investigated for not keeping with the COVID-19 health & safety protocols. Whatever we may think, but this is not really great news for the league.

The uptick in positive COVID-19 Case.

Over the past few weeks, there has been an uptick in the positive coronavirus cases. From October 18 to October 24 as many as 4,687 tests were conducted. Until now, a total of 16,799 tests have been conducted on 2,491 players and 25,888 tests on 5,326 personnel. Since the test started across the league as many as 82 personnel and 55 players have been tested COVID-19 positive. Until now a total of around 500,000 tests have been conducted.

However, when we compare this with the prevailing situation across the United States, the numbers across the NFL are not that scary. But, given the way certain teams are not keeping with the standard protocols of COVID-19 and how the pandemic has affected people across the globe -- the recent test results could be a matter of concern for the league.

Last week when Trent Brown, right tackle got tested positive for coronavirus, the entire starting offensive line of the Las Vegas Raiders' was sent back home. This further resulted in the league extending the Week 7 games of Sunday night to Sunday afternoon. For not following the updated COVID-19 protocols, the Raiders are already been charged a heavy fine and maybe loss of a draft pick. Many of the Raiders’ players were fined stiffly for not wearing masks during a charity event.
