The Tennessee Titans offensive tackle Isaiah Wilson was placed on the NFL reserve non-football illness list. It looks like the tumultuous rookie season for Wilson is over. Per a report, pick No. 29 will not be returning to the regular season at least by Week 17.

Talking about this new development, Jon Robinson, Titan general manager said, "Today we placed Isaiah Wilson on the reserve non-football illness list. Currently, he is dealing with some personal issues, which will take some time for him to work through. We will continue to help him and support him, with the hope that he can ultimately re-join the team."

This decision came four days after Wilson was suspended for the game that was scheduled for Sunday. Per reports, Wilson debuted in the NFL in Week 12 and he played four snaps against Indianapolis Colts. With the decision to place the first-round pick on the reserve/NFI list, the snap against Colts could be his last action as a rookie.

Titan long string of unfortunate circumstances.

Isaiah Wilson coming into the non-football illness list is the latest of all the unfortunate circumstances that have been coming in for the Titans. Before this, it was the serving of one-game suspension by the first-round draft pick from Georgia for not adhering to the rules of the team. Wilson was also placed on the reserve/COVID-19 list twice -- first at the time of the training camp & then again in the month of September.

In addition to that, Wilson got involved in an incident when the Tennessee State University police suspected the smell of marijuana on August 15 at one of his off-campus apartments. In a statement, the police said that Wilson was seen going to the balcony of his second floor with the intention of jumping. In another incident, the Titans offensive tackle was arrested for Driving under the influence (DUI). It happened when after doing donuts, Wilson crashed his car into a concrete barrier.

When a player is placed on the non-football list -- it will mean that the player cannot return to the game for the rest of the regular season. The status of Dennis Kelly, the Former swingman working as Tennessee’s right tackle starter is not going to change anytime soon in the future. Wilson’s career is on hold for now, even after the fact that he is under a contract through 2023.
