NFL Schedules Week 4 Match Details

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Cincinnati Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals and the Jacksonville Jaguars are not divisional rivals any longer. But the teams know each other very well. The former AFC Central rivals have played more than 20 times against each other till now. The Jacksonville Jaguars have won more than 12 of those matches compared to the Cincinnati Bengals' nine wins. Both the teams have never faced each other again in the playoffs. The Jacksonville Jaguars have had great success against the Cincinnati Bengals in the past. The winning percentage of the Jacksonville Jaguars against the Cincinnati Bengals is the second-best of any other rivalry in the entire league. They also hold the record of the top winning percentage against the Cleveland Browns.

The Jacksonville Jaguars also won two consecutive games over the Cincinnati Bengals in the past. Before that, the Cincinnati Bengals had won four matches consecutively for six years. The Jacksonville Jaguars lost their first three matches against the Cincinnati Bengals in the season of 1995. But they went on to gain victory in seven of the next eight matches before finally losing out to the Cincinnati Bengals. After that, the Jacksonville Jaguars had four consecutive wins before the winning run of the Cincinnati Bengals from 2008-2014.

So, it is clear that the Jacksonville Jaguars have often beaten the Cincinnati Bengals in the past. Will this carry over to the game scheduled in week 4? We can say that the Jacksonville Jaguars enter the match with a slight advantage. There is a good amount of expectation from this young team. But the team has been inconsistent in the past. They have also not shown the winning drive during certain crucial moments in the game. In the Cincinnati Bengals, the quarterback Joe Burrow is expected to put in an excellent performance. But the offensive line is not very good. This has allowed him to be sacked frequently in the past. On the other hand, the defense of the Cincinnati Bengals has allowed several yards per game in the past seasons.

We cannot tell you precisely what is going to happen. But the Jacksonville Jaguars always get their performance up when they play against the Cincinnati Bengals. We expect that the successful run may continue in week 4. Even when the Jacksonville Jaguars have lost against the Cincinnati Bengals, the scores have been pretty close most of the time. James Robinson is also expected to play his part in the game and show his efficiency against a below-average rush defense. The Jacksonville Jaguars also have a stronger team on paper. This is a good opponent for them to regain the spring in their step. But it will not be an easy match with Burrow's increasing confidence and ability.

Detroit Lions vs. Chicago Bears

The rivalry between the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears is a big one in the NFL. The teams first met each other more than 90 years ago. This is when the Detroit Lions were called the Portsmouth Spartans and played in Portsmouth. They shifted to the city of Detroit a few years later. The Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears have been divisional opponents since then. They have typically played against each other a couple of times every season since the Detroit Lions team started. Both teams play in two of the biggest metropolitan locations in the Midwest. Detroit's and Chicago's stadiums, the Ford Field and the Soldier Field, respectively, are less than 300 miles apart and easily accessible from the highway.

The rivalry between the Detroit Lions and the Chicago Bears is the longest-running annual series in the league. The Chicago Bears won more games than their opponents in this matchup during the first 20 years. This was because they were a solid team under head coach George Halas. But ever since the Super Bowl was introduced, the matches have been more even between them. This is despite the Detroit Lions not being as successful as the Chicago Bears in the NFL. The latter has reached the NFL Divisional Playoffs more than 11 times. They have won numerous playoffs games, a couple of NFL titles, and even a Super Bowl. The Detroit Lions have only gone to the playoffs more than two times. They have only won a sole game and have not won any NFL title. The Chicago Bears won the sole playoff match that happened between them nearly 90 years ago.

New York Giants vs. New Orleans Saints

The damage caused by Hurricane Ida has disrupted everyday life in Louisiana. It is estimated that it may take months or even years for the region to return to its old condition again. Consequently, the New Orleans Saints have decided that they will not play any of their matches in the first quarter of the season at their home stadium of the Superdome. Thankfully, the stadium did not incur any damages from the hurricane. The New Orleans Saints were set to host the New York Giants at their home stadium in week 4. But now, the game could be postponed or shifted to another venue.
