The John Deere Classic is a PGA Tour's professional golf tournament that is played every year in the month of July. It always happens a week before British Open and is played in the Quad Cities community of Silvis, Illinois. It first started as a "satellite event" on the PGA Tour in 1971. Since then, it has become an official tour event.
