Soccer Betting Picks For Serie A Round 30

Author: Mansi

Round 30 will showcase one of the best teams playing at home - Juventus, which has been in great shape since games resumed, playing Torino over the weekend. Juve is comfortably in the title race, although the point difference isn’t high enough to confirm the Serie A title in their favor just yet. They are four points ahead of Lazio on the table right now.

Juventus v. Torino

Torino is currently in the bottom ten of the table, sitting tight in their 13th spot on the table. Even after the season resumed recently, they have not been able to play a good game. Their matches against Lazio in the previous week held some promise as they put up a fight and lost their game by only one goal. However, their previous four matches only yielded four points, which shows that they’re unlikely to move much higher on the standings. Juve played Torino last November when they won the game away from home 1-0.

Juventus is ready and in form for their ninth consecutive title. Yes, ninth! They have played matches only against teams in the bottom half of the table since the lockdown was lifted, which means that they haven’t faced the teams which are capable of putting up some real competition. But their performance in these matches speaks volumes about the form they are in. They have scored nine goals and allowed only one in their past three games.

Torino is yet another one of the bottom half competitors, so this game should go easily in favor of Juve. But it is imperative for Juve to win this game, and to do it convincingly since they are heading into more demanding matches after this one. They will be playing some higher-ups in the standings consecutively - AC Milan, Atalanta, and their closest competitor, Lazio. The momentum that they gain from playing Torino needs to be carried forward to cement their place at the top of the league and win the championship.

These three fixtures are decisive because they have the power to beat Juve and make them lose their small lead in the first place. Lazio has had a great season this year, and are keen to topple Juve this time. Juventus’ players have been deadly off late too, with Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo each scoring three goals since the season resumed. My prediction for this match is Juventus will win, likely with at least two goals more than Torino.

Lazio v. AC Milan

A more matched up fixture than the previous one, both these teams are high up in the standings. Lazio has had a great run throughout this season, winning 21 out of its 29 matches and losing only 3, with the rest ending in draws. They have the second-best attack in the league right now, with 66 goals scored in their 29 matches played. Their top scorer is also the Serie A’s top scorer at the moment, Ciro Immobile, with 29 goals in as many matches. This match will see Immobile sitting out, as he has been suspended from play.

The issue is, the second top scorer for Lazio, Felipe Caicedo, will also miss this match. Joaquin Correa will lead the attack in this match, and he has scored 7 goals this season. Their midfield is nearly perfect, and they can turn the match around on their own with their gameplay. It includes Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, Luis Alberto, and Marco Parolo.

AC Milan has also shown good form, with two epic wins against AS Roma (2-0) and against Lecce (4-1). However, they couldn’t post a win against low ranked and relegation-threatened SPAL. AC Milan played the entire second half with an extra player and ended the match in a draw because of a last-minute own goal, which led them to leave the match with only one point.

AC Milan is currently aiming for a top 6 finish so that they can smoothly enter the Europa League with their confirmed spot. This game doesn’t look to be a high scoring one, primarily because Immobile and the second top scorer of Lazio, Caicedo, are sitting this match out. There are several other players in the attack of both teams who can add points to the scoreboard but do not expect more than three, or four goals in the total game. As for the outcome of the game, it could end in a draw or narrowly in favor of Milan. The reason? Lazio doesn’t have its star scorers playing.
