Selling AC Milan Was the Right Move for Traditional Football

AC Milan has finally been left off the hook by Chinese Investors and their purchase of the club comes as the right move for the most successful club in Italy.

Milan has fallen off the perking order in recent seasons thanks to some abysmal performances from the team and the bad managerial direction by the board.

Having been purchased with the money covering all debts owed by Silvio Berlusconi's old era Milan can now look forward to buying new players and compete in the league with the aim of fighting for the Championship and at the end of the season qualifying for the UEFA Champions League.

During the ICC tournament, Milan did not fare badly as they recorded a penalty shootout win against Bayern Munich and went on to lose in matches against Liverpool and Chelsea but the performances of the team were far better than what the team ushered out in the 2015/16 season. There are traces of an intent and an urgency on the part of the players to succeed which is a good sign for the Milanistas.

Current manager Vincenzo Montella must have gotten this news at a good time where the opening of the Italian Championship is some two weeks away and the funds by the new owners can help him buy all the players he needs to be able to compete equally and get the passion for football back to the San Siro.

AC Milan Must Return to Europe Under this Direction

The likes of FC Barcelona and Bayern Munich look poised to win the Champions League in the 2016/17 season. Now settling at five titltes each they trail Milan by two titles and given Milan have not been qualifying for the Champions League they can surpass the achievements of such a traditional club.

Milan must return to the Champions League so that they can compete in the 2017/18 UEFA Champions League which would give the team the chance to seek for an eighth Champions League title and gradually head for their own La Decima.
Many football fans and pundits have not been pleased with the performances of Milan and have all called for the sale of the Club and their pleas and cries have been heard.

AC Milan is back and with the Summer Mercato some three weeks away coupled with the January Transfer Window some few months ahead of us, the team has found the right owners and management to carry the team to honours and European football this coming season.
