Mexico s Performance against Panama Could Benefit USA in November Clash

Mexico faced Panama at the TOYOTA Park on October 11th 6:30PM PST and the team were seen to be a dominant force but could only manage a single goal against a less fancied Panama side. The United States Men’s National Team also took onto the field the same day and could only manage a draw. Looking at the strength and squad depth of the two teams, Mexico has the individual talent but the USMNT play as a collective unit and could have an urge in the November clash, but how prepared are they?

Mexico has enough firepower and talent and USMNT rely on collective play instead of the individual brilliance of certain players. Javier Hernandez “Chicharito” has been in scintillating form abroad playing for Bayer04 Leverkusen whiles Giovanni Dos Santos has had a great season with the LA Galaxy thus far season.

The advantage USMNT has with it is that is the number of players who play locally but the experience of Fabian Johnson abroad has been helping the team tremendously just as Jermaine Jones and Jose Altidore did for the National Team so many years ago.

Klinsmann wants to take the USA back to the FIFA World Cup having made the semi-final of the COPA AMERICA CENTENARIO where the USA played well but bowed out of the tournament to finalists Argentina. This game means everything for the former German footballer of the year. He knows all about featuring in the big games as well as featuring your country in the World Cup and he would love to go a step further of his Round of 16 exit at the hands of Germany.

Mexico Has Been the Team to Beat In North and Central America

Mexico has been the team to beat in the North and Central American division for decades. The Mexican team has featured in the last six FIFA World Cups and has seen the Round of 16 as the greatest hurdle to cross having lost to top national sides at this stage.

Juan Carlos Osorio would have to cross that hurdle but would need his team to beat Klinsmann and have the regional rights before he can make the World Cup and lead Mexico across the psychological barrier other managers couldn’t.

Klinsmann was surprised by the performances of Julian Greene and Sacha Kljestan in the game against New Zealand and has given me many options to choose from and would be keeping them of their performances at Bayern Munich and New York Red Bulls respectively.

Competition is what USMNT team needs and with no player bigger than the manager as he showed with the exclusion of cult-hero Landon Donovan from the 2014 FIFA World Cup squad would give assurance to all players because you would be called when your performance improves.

USMNT has just been exceptional under Klinsmann and must make a bold step against Mexico in order to give fans renewed hope. New members should do all they can to be able to take over the roles aging and soon to be departing stars such as Jones and Clint Dempsey.

The game would be held at the Mapfre Stadium.
