Nikola Jokic Reaches Orlando After Clearing Tests

Author: Mansi

Nikola Jokic had to miss the flight to Orlando last week with the team due to the coronavirus protocol. The Good news is, he's back on the campus in Orlando. The big man on the Denver Nuggets had cleared quarantine protocols.

Nikola Jokic Delayed Travel.

After getting tested positive for coronavirus, and related to travel complications, Jokic had reported to the Walt Disney World campus to the Nuggets. He has now cleared quarantine as per an announcement done on the team’s Twitter handle. Before arriving at the campus in Florida, Nikola has been in Serbia, which is his home country.

However, per the coronavirus protocols, Jokic has cleared his two days of the quarantine period, yet, he is not allowed to participate in the practice sessions at the campus. According to the sources, the BIG man is still waiting for the “physical-type testing.” He can just go watching the Nuggets practicing on the campus.

Denver Nuggets & Nikola Jokic.

The Denver Nuggets are the no. 3 seed in the West and if we want to see a deep playoff run, the team will need the big man Jokic on the field healthy & hearty. He is one of the strengths of the team. Averaging to 6.9 APG, 20.2 PPG & 10.2 RPG — Jokic had played a tremendous NBA season before the game came to a halt.

In addition to Nuggets, there have been other players among those whose flights to the Disney campus, Orlando got delayed. However, Monte Morris, Gary Harris, Torrey Craig, and Michael Porter Jr haven’t arrived at the campus. There is also no clear picture of whether they will be eventually participating in the game or not.

Before Reaching the Campus.

Before he could finally reach the campus, he could join the team for the 2019-20 season. The Nuggets, which is one of the best of the 22 teams, must be relaxed after receiving Jokic, a two-time All-Star, on the campus. Jokic has been the most valuable player and has Denver in contention for a top-two seed.

In a statement, the team’s coach said that “He’s in great spirits. I think I can speak for everybody on our staff and our roster. Having him around is just very uplifting. Nikola is a big part of what we’re trying to do. Having him here finally is great, obviously. It was wonderful to see him walk through those doors."

There were speculations looking at Jokic pictures that came after this hiatus. It looks like he has lost much weight, and that has come out as a concern for the Nuggets. Talking about the picture, Jokic said, “About the pictures honestly, I just see how people don’t see the changes. I didn’t lose that much weight during the quarantine. So, I was pretty much of the same weight the last game of the season. There’s a little of a difference, I think like, three, four, five pounds. Not a big difference."

Let’s hope he returns to the practice sessions and becomes a part of the NBA return season 2019-20.
