BCS Standings Rattled

College football is always full of moments that define a season and shake up rankings. For the Oregon Ducks, that moment was two weeks ago when the Stanford Cardinal gave them fits and their first loss of the season, possibly pushing them out of the BCS National Championship Game. For Stanford, it came on Saturday when the unranked USC Trojans knocked off the #4 Cardinal team. For USC, that was their moment as well. It solidified their spot back into the top tier of college football after a season that was below standards for the Trojans. Transitioning a coaching change while suiting up 49 scholarshipped players -- most teams have 85 -- USC was facing all odds and won. While it won't put them in the same category as the top undefeated teams, -- Alabama Crimson Tide, Florida State Seminoles, Ohio State Buckeyes and the Baylor Bears -- it will show the world that they are on the rise to where they once were. The Trojans were moved into the Top 25, though, as the new list looks like this: 1. Alabama 2. Florida State 3. Ohio State 4. Baylor 5. Oregon 6. Auburn 7. Clemson 8. Missouri 9. Stanford 10. Oklahoma State 11. South Carolina 12. Texas A&M 13. Michigan State 14. UCLA 15. Fresno State 16. Northern Illinois 17. Arizona State 18. UCF 19. Wisconsin 20. Oklahoma 21. Louisville 22. LSU 23. USC 24. Ole Miss 25. Minnesota Image by ReignOfTroy.com
