Soccer Picks and Predictions For La Liga Week 31

It has been a fascinating weekend with Real Madrid reaching the top of the table after leveling up with Barcelona. Now Barcelona fans will cry hoarse about the unfair advantage being given to Real Madrid. Three VARS in a row! And rightly so, even if the ruling was accurate on all three occasions.

And with the current pandemic hitting the globe, all matches are being played in empty stadiums which lead to an interesting point about the home-ground advantage being lost. There’s a good chance of Real Madrid reaching the finals, qualifying for the Champions League and probably even winning the La Liga league title with a fit team, and looking at Gareth Bale benched means that Zinedine Zidane has got a lot of attacking options with him helping him with the season’s challenges.

We will see how that turns out in the following weeks which might lead to the high probability of the El Clasico happening sooner than expected. Now let’s dive in the tips, and predictions straightaway.

Real Betis has sacked Joan Francesc Ferrer also known as "Rubi". This is only with three matches of La Liga resuming and the sports director of the club, Alexis Trujillo will be taking over the reins of the squad for the rest of the season that puts them in a tough spot. They should actually start preparing for the next season since they are close to relegation from the league and obviously very far from the Champions League in this pandemic season.

A close fight should be seen between Real Valladolid and Getafe because they have been bet on equally close enough with each other. However, there’s a strange insight to the team with the team coach of Getafe revealing in the post-match conference that Getafe’s players have been winning aerial duels against every team. They played and yet have not won those matches. This can be because Getafe has old players in their squad compared to Zidane’s Real Madrid. So hence it would be better if prudence was used in this match while putting your money on a team by the time this article was published.

Although at home, Celta Vigo won 6-0, however, they have been really in bad shape, as they have managed to score in just a single game out of 5 games. And if they play better, they might just manage to win or at least square a draw with Real Sociedad who will win at home if they grab the opportunity as they have managed to get only one point out of a nice post on their return.

Leganes against Granada will also be an interesting game because, in that match, Leganes needs the points more than Granada. However, it has been seen regularly that Leganes donates points to the teams. When Granada plays away games, they behave rather differently because they have won just a single away game out of 12 away games.

Now about Levante versus Atletico Madrid, Levante is the team to look out for because they are safe right now, and also are aggressive in their play. They beat Espanyol, on Espanyol’s home ground and amazingly in the head-to-head history at their ground, Levante has either won or at least drawn their games.

Now if Atletico Madrid needs to challenge table toppers for the league, they will need the points, and they should win. In this scenario, I would love to put my money on Levante, because the only way one could lose money is if they outrightly lose the match against Atletico Madrid.

Osasuna against Deportivo Alaves is the match for the 12th and 13th place in the middle bottom with Osasuna’s lead goal-scoring machine will be terribly missed in this game, as they lost or at least 12 out of 15 games, and that makes a strong point for money to put on Deportivo Alaves.

Here are the predictions for this week’s matches.

Match 1: Alaves – 33% and Osasuna – 39%, Draw – 27%

Match 2: Real Sociedad – 46% and Celta Vigo – 25%, Draw – 29%

Match 3: Real Madrid – 90% and RCD Mallorca, Draw – 5%

Match 4: Eibar – 42% and Valencia – 28%, Draw - 30%

Match 5: Real Betis – 40% and Espanyol – 31%, Draw – 29%

Match 6: Sevilla – 69% and Real Valladolid – 7%, Draw – 24%

Match 7: Athletic Bilbao – 51% and RCD Mallorca – 22%, Draw – 27%

Match 8: Celta Vigo – 14% and Barcelona 64, Draw -22%.
