Which Team Will Win More Regular Season Games In 2020?

Author: Priyanka Saxena on Jul 01,2020

After the February 2020 win of the Kansas City Chiefs, their epic victory has set the stage to see which team will win more regular-season games this year. The Chiefs overcame a point deficit and beat the San Francisco 49ers to win this Super Bowl - their second ever, and the only one in the past 50 years. Apart from these two teams, the odds are also strong with two more teams to win games - the Baltimore Ravens, and the New Orleans Saints. Let us look at which of these teams are the most likely to win the most regular-season games.

New Orleans Saints.

The Saints have one of the best shots at winning the NFC South. However, they have been having some drama relating to their personnel which may make things problematic during the season. They had a very strong chance the last year, with a 13-3 record. Unfortunately, things fell through for them, and they lost out during the wild card round. They did, however, learn their lesson from the previous season and made sure to eliminate all the weaknesses within their gameplay. The biggest move they made? They moved around their roster to ensure that their team was strong and well-balanced. With their roster now deep and complete, they sit in a comfortable position to win many games, even with the personnel issues going on.

Baltimore Ravens.

The Ravens have been playing a solid game for a while with their form being better than ever. They were ranked the number 1 offense and number 4 defense team last season, which puts their odds at a great place for those who want to Bet on them. Their team this season will feature almost all of those who averaged a 13.7 point differential last season. To put this in perspective, this is the highest any team has averaged since the iconic 2007 Patriots season. They ended the season strong with 12 consecutive wins. They make it almost too easy to Bet on them - they strengthened their defense by bringing in Campbell and Patrick Queen and with Jackson on their roster, even half of last year’s performance will make them a good Bet this season.

Kansas City Chiefs.

After their historical win, the Chiefs are a favorite for this season’s highest wins. Although their wins last season were lower than the Ravens who won 14 games, their roster is talented enough to plug any and every hole that may occur during the season. With an ironclad roster, they have no reason to worry about other teams who are still in the process of fixing their lineups. The Chiefs have also won AFC West four years in a row, and the odds placed on them for the fifth time are very high.

Patrick Mahomes, despite losing out on the MVP award for the previous season, is unarguably the best quarterback in the league. Mahomes’ form is unparalleled to anyone else when he is fit - his throwing ability and running speed are similar to some of the best in the league currently. The star tight end, Kelce, also plays a great game with Mahome and the running back Damien Williams. All of these people together could make it straightforward for the odds to turn in the favor of the Chiefs.

San Francisco 49ers.

The NFC West has eluded them of late, but the Niners have proven to be able to pack quite a punch. The Green Bay Packers did not stand a chance in front of them, and they have had quite the run-up to the SuperBowl of the 2019 season played, in February 2020. They also made history as the fifth-ever team to appear in at least seven Super Bowl appearances of all-time.

During the playoffs, the Niners secured the home-field advantage. They had managed to clinch an enormous lead during the championship game against the Packers at 27-0 at halftime. Despite such a great start, the Packers did not go down without a fight. They brought the game back up to 34-20 but ultimately the Niners won the game with three more points scored.

One of the important titles will be the NFC West. With the Chiefs looking strong, it seems highly unlikely that the Niners will be able to win it this year. With all these teams’ performances reviewed, my prediction is the Chiefs will win the most number of games, followed by the Ravens.
