The first season in Las Vegas is going to be played without fans. Whatever happens on the field, but this season will be remembered forever. The Raiders team on Monday announced that fans won’t be allowed into the Allegiant Stadium. The Raiders in a statement said, “There is nothing more important to the Raider Organization than the health and safety of our players, coaches, staff, stadium workers and fans. After intensive consultation with healthcare officials and state and community leaders, we have made the difficult decision to play the Las Vegas Raiders 2020 inaugural season at Allegiant Stadium without fans in attendance. This decision is based on our commitment to protect the health of our fans and the entire community in response to the coronavirus pandemic affecting us all.”

Fan access to the stadium completely closed.

This means that the Raiders’ first season in Las Vegas is going to be played without fans in an empty Allegiant Stadium. With COVID-19 at the forefront of everything, different leagues have seen a drastic decrease in the number of fans in the fields. In the same vein, Mark Davis, the Raiders' owner announced via an email there would not be fans around the stadium this season. In the beginning, it was planned to allow only limited fans, but to decide whom to allow & to leave the thousand of them left out cold would not be a great idea. Therefore, it is decided that the fan access to the stadium is completely closed.

Davis said the NFL this season began the game on the terms that the first eight rows for the fan in the stadium would be blocked to create the COVID-19 buffer zone between the players & the fans. The Raiders, on the other hand, have decided to refrain from telling thousands of fans that they are not officially eligible to witness the first season of Allegiant Stadium.

With almost no improvement and the coronavirus cases spiking every day, the priority for every sports league around is the health & safety of the fans, players, and staff members. With that in mind, the Raiders have made this announcement that fans will not be allowed in the stadium in the current situation. There are a variety of variables that the league will have to consider. For instance, all the workers who have been employed to work in the stadium will have to be tested for coronavirus.

The Email Announcement from the Raider organization.

The email that came from the Raider organization said, “There is nothing more important to the Raider organization than the health and safety of our players, coaches, staff, stadium workers and fans.

The Raiders have given two options to the season-ticket holders. They can either get a refund for their 2020 season ticket and not lose their seats or the 2020 payment can also be rolled to 2021 as per their convenience. Although fans are disappointed, at the same time they are respecting the decision which is done to make sure that not only a portion of fans get alienated feeling left out & disgruntled.
