NFL Draft Grades 2021

Arizona Cardinals

NFL Draft Grade 2021: B+

Day 1 grade: A-

Day 2 grade: A

Day 3 grade: B

Draft picks

- Tulsa LB Zaven Collins (No. 16 overall)

- Purdue WR Rondale Moore (No. 49)

- Florida CB Marco Wilson (No. 136)

- Duke DE Victor Dimukeje (No. 210)

- UCF CB Tay Gowan (No. 223)

- Cincinnati S James Wiggins (No. 243)

- Penn State C Michal Menet (No. 247)

The Arizona Cardinals got a playing linebacker in the form of Zaven Collins. His career could follow a similar trajectory to that of Anthony Barr, the Minnesota Vikings Pro Bowler. The Arizona Cardinals could also have gone for a cornerback in the first round because the squad needed it. But Rondale Moore was picked in the second round despite his injury history and small build. This matched the projections of some experts. So, the pick was not entirely any surprise. The Arizona Cardinals also traded their third-round pick for center Rodney Hudson in the offseason. This was widely seen as a good move. Marco Wilson was chosen as an early day three pick because of his athleticism, overlooking his mental mistakes, and uneven play at his time in Florida. His brother Quincy was also a second-round pick of the Colts a few years ago. But letting go of a 2022 fourth-rounder to pick Wilson decreased Arizona Cardinal's grade. Tay Gowan was an excellent choice in the sixth round because the team needs as many corners as possible. It is also good because he played like a fourth-rounder.

Atlanta Falcons

- NFL Draft Grade 2021: A+

- Day 1 grade: A+

- Day 2 grade: A+

- Day 3 grade: A

Draft picks

- Florida TE Kyle Pitts (No. 4 overall)

- UCF S Richie Grant (No. 40)

- Michigan G Jalen Mayfield (No. 68)

- San Diego State CB Darren Hall (No. 108)

- Stanford C Drew Dalman (No. 114)

- Texas DL Ta'Quon Graham (No. 148)

- Notre Dame DE Adetokunbo Ogundeji (No. 182)

- Boise State CB Avery Williams (No. 183)

- Arizona State WR Frank Darby (No. 187)

The offense of the Atlanta Falcons got a major boost with the fourth overall pick in the form of the pass-catching wonder Kyle Pitts. It will help the offense in the red zone, where the team occasionally struggled in the last season. The team made some great picks on that night. Richie Grant will get into the starting role of safety. Mayfield will act as the main projection to guard. This is an area where the Atlanta Falcons wanted more depth. Darren Hall is a competitive and athletic corner which is well worth his early fourth-round selection. Drew Dalman is an athletic center who has the required NFL genes. He can easily compete with last year's draft pick Mat Hennessey at the center position, or the latter may be shifted to guard. Ta'Quon Graham has the speed that will win inside when playing along with Grady Jarrett. Adetokunbo Ogundeji is a powerful and long rusher. He might not have high-level speed, but it is ensured that he will do his job right. Getting a top-flight willing defender and kick returner in Avery Williams was incredible. This was also the case with the choice of Darby. He has excellent potential to succeed as a swift-footed deep threat.

Baltimore Ravens

- NFL Draft Grade 2021: A

- Day 1 grade: A

- Day 2 grade: A

- Day 3 grade: A

Draft picks

- Minnesota WR Rashod Bateman (No. 27 overall)

- Penn State OLB Odafe Oweh (No. 31)

- Georgia G Ben Cleveland (No. 94)

- SMU CB Brandon Stephens (No. 104)

- Oklahoma State WR Tylan Wallace (No. 131)

- Ohio State CB Shaun Wade (No. 160)

- Notre Dame OLB Daelin Hayes (No. 171)

- Michigan TE Ben Mason (No. 184)

Once more, General Manager Eric DeCosta and the Baltimore Ravens seem to have made the most of their draft picks. Their MVP Lamar Jackson was glad to see the Baltimore Ravens choose Rashod Bateman in the first round. The team's defense also got a good boost with the choice of Odafe Oweh in round one. The Baltimore Ravens chose the third round to get a pair of future starters in Brandon Stephens and Ben Cleveland. Tylan Wallace does not have the elite-level agility, size, or swiftness that the team requires. But he holds on to the tough catches and beats the man downfield. Shaun Wade was injured throughout the previous season, which was disappointing for him. But fortunately, he got into a great team in the form of the Baltimore Ravens in the fifth round. Daelin Hayes was another great pick in the draft because of the talent he has. Thus, the Baltimore Ravens got great middle-round value for that position.

Buffalo Bills

- NFL Draft Grade 2021: A-

- Day 1 grade: A

- Day 2 grade: A-

- Day 3 grade: A-

Draft picks

- Miami DE Gregory Rousseau (No. 30 overall)

- Wake Forest DE Carlos Basham Jr. (No. 61)

- Northern Iowa OT Spencer Brown (No. 93)

- Miami (Ohio) OT Tommy Doyle (No. 161)

- Houston WR Marquez Stevenson (No. 203)

- Pitt S Damar Hamlin (No. 212)

- Wisconsin CB Rachad Wildgoose (No. 213)

- Texas Tech G Jack Anderson (No. 236)

Brandon Beane, the General Manager of the Buffalo Bills, stood his ground in the first round and got a good edge rusher in the form of Gregory Rousseau. He will add to the depth of the Buffalo Bills upfront. Gregory doubled up on the line in the second round with Carlos Basham Jr. He was the top player across the board. But other areas of the squad might have gained from investment there. Spencer Brown is a swing tackle who can become a starter. His selection hit one of those areas of requirement. It helps to continue the construction of the squad's robust roster. The Buffalo Bills went to fight again in the fifth round. This time, they got great value in the form of Tommy Doyle. The Buffalo Bills will use Marquez Stevenson's capability as a versatile receiver and returner to remain fit. Damar Hamlin was a bargain in the sixth round. Jack Anderson is also a great pick in the draft because he is flexible to play center or guard. He may turn out to be the center pivot of the team next year.

Carolina Panthers

- NFL Draft Grade 2021: A

- Day 1 grade: A-

- Day 2 grade: A+

- Day 3 grade: A

Draft picks

- South Carolina CB Jaycee Horn (No. 8 overall)

- LSU WR Terrace Marshall Jr. (No. 59)

- BYU OT Brady Christensen (No. 70)

- Notre Dame TE Tommy Tremble (No. 83)

- Oklahoma State RB Chuba Hubbard (No. 126)

- Iowa DT Daviyon Nixon (No. 158)

- Washington CB Keith Taylor (No. 166)

- Alabama G Deonte Brown (No. 193)

- South Carolina WR Shi Smith (No. 204)

- Alabama LS Thomas Fletcher (No. 222)

- Kentucky DT Phil Hoskins (No. 232)

The Carolina Panthers utilized all of their draft picks last year on defense. This year, they could not pass up the opportunity to start the draft by selecting a defensive player. They chose an athletic and talented press corner in the form of Jaycee Horn. On day 2, their focus was firmly on the offense. They obtained great value in Terrace Marshall Jr. A few injuries kept him away from the first round. They also got Brady Christensen, a reliable and robust tackle. They will compete with Greg Little in the position of left tackle. There was also Tommy Tremble, who will be a good target for the new quarterback Sam Darnold.
